Account Upgrades & Policy Guidelines
-
Upgrading Your Plan: You can easily step up to Home 3 Gig or Edge 8 Gig via your online web portal or the GFiber mobile app. Note that if you upgrade to a newer lifestyle product, you cannot downgrade back to original or retired plan structures (1 Gig, 2 Gig, 5 Gig, or 8 Gig).
-
Downgrades & Equipment Retention: Customers downgrading plans can generally keep their existing hardware placement. However, specialized hardware additions like the Internet Battery Backup must be returned upon service downgrade to avoid recurring fees.
-
Service Cancellation Policy: If you choose to cancel your GFiber service entirely, all hardware must be returned within 60 days of cancellation to avoid a standard equipment replacement fee and applicable taxes.
